While studying for my first degree in the late seventies, I became fascinated by what was then known as “the mind-body problem”: what exactly is the mind, what does it consist of, how does it interact with the body? My philosophical thinking has revolved around that ever since — exploring consciousness, information, and what it means to be a minded creature in a material world. Most recently I've been thinking about AI and machine consciousness.
